I was brought onto the founding team to help launch the brand and copywriting voice for a non-traditional, community bike shop and to help turn a vision and concept into a physical storefront and fully functioning retail, repair, and experiential bike shop. I developed the copywriting voice and tone for the brand, and came up with the concept, copy, and social media strategy for the shop’s wildly worded long-form, blog-esque instagram page - a defining feature of how the shop initially connected and communicated with customers and the community without the ability for a physical interaction due to COVID regulations and shutdowns.
Founded in August 2020, Local Bike Shop NFK has quickly become an experience-driven hub for casual and non-competitive cycling culture in Norfolk, VA.
